Hired Wheels: David Jonsson & Cooper Hoffman Drive India Donaldson’s ‘The Chaperones’

Date:

Last August we learned that India Donaldson plus A24 were in the works on her sophomore feature and we just found out this project does have wings. Deadline reports that The Chaperones has enlisted David Jonsson and Cooper Hoffman for an autumn shoot in Ohio and New Mexico. Plan B was onboard from the get-go, and we can now include Robert Pattinson’s Icki Eneo Arlo as a backer. Adam Wyatt Tate will executive produce. Two more passengers to be cast – so we can expect further unveilings. This might be ready for a fall film festival release.

Written by Sebastian Black, essentially this is a road-movie drama set days after Christmas, and follows three slacker friends (two friends and their dealer) are hired to transport a troubled teen across the country in their pick-up truck.

Donaldson broke out with Good One garnering not only prestige Sundance and Cannes showcases, but landed noms at the Gothams and Indie Spirits.
