The highest ranked directorial debut on our top 100 belongs to Night Comes On. We’re big on the short films that come out of Sundance, and Skin announced a new major voice in filmmaking. Actress turned filmmaker Jordana Spiro took her debut in 2014 Sundance Screenwriter, Director and Composer Labs and her co-writer on the project was also a 2014 Time Warner Fellow. An Adrienne Shelly Foundation Fellowship winner, lensing began sometime in the month of April in Philadelphia.

Written by Spiro and Angelica Nwandu, this stars Dominique Fishback, Tatum Hall, John Earl Jelks, Max Casella and James McDaniel. Angel LaMere (Fishback) is released from juvenile detention on the eve of her 18th birthday. Haunted by her past, she embarks on a journey with her 10 year-old sister that could destroy their future. We’re expecting big things for this micro indie.

Release Date/Prediction: This was selected for the NEXT section at the Sundance Film Festival and will have its international premiere at Rotterdam in the The Big Screen Competition.
