Top 200 Most Anticipated Foreign Films of 2023: #33. Untitled Hong Sang-soo Project

Date:

It’s almost laughable just how prolific South Korean filmmaker Hong Sang-soo is – it’s almost as if there is this continual assembly line of films that are put out and when he has films currently playing theatrically or on the film fest circuit word is he has another item in the pipeline. So while audiences are still being introduced to 2021 and 2022 slate of Introduction (Berlinale), In Front of Your Face (Cannes), The Novelist’s Film (Berlinale) and Walk Up (TIFF). Hong Sang-soo went into production on the untitled 2023 project back in September. We seriously want to place an Airtag on the filmmaker.

Gist: Plot details are not known. There is a 50 percent chance this might be filmed in B&W.

Release Date/Prediction: Berlinale baby.
