2016 US in Progress Paris: Ott, Keleman, Jimeno & Ohs & Sisson Make Cut

Date:

The US in Progress Paris (part of next month’s Champs-Élysées Film Festival’s Industry Days) folks are switching up the formula this year. Their usual half dozen projects now includes the docu format with Brent Chesanek‘s Academy and Matt Yoka‘s Whirlybird being added alongside Mike Ott‘s sixth feature film (California Dreams) and the fiction feature debuts from the likes of Adam Keleman (Easy Living – produced by It Felt Like Love‘s Laura Wagner), Pete Ohs & Andrea Sisson (Everything Beautiful is Far Away) and Margarita Jimeno (the working title of Otto: My Life is a Soundtrack – produced by the filmmaker, executive produced by The Alchemist Cookbook‘s Andrew Corkin). Much like previous U.S in Progress participants such filmmakers as Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck & Robert Machoian, Matt Sobel, Nathan Silver, Michael Tully, Onur Tukel and Lawrence Michael Levine, we expect to see these films at prestige fests starting with TIFF in September all the way into 2017 with Sundance, Rotterdam and SXSW.
