Gist: Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Antonio Banderas, Imogen Poots, Freida Pinto and Wes Bentley headline Malick’s latest, about a man and his excessive life of temptations.
Prediction: Perhaps the most readied film among the slew of items he is currently editing, and with Thierry Frémaux being a huge fan of the filmmaker (he waited patiently for Tree of Life to shore up in the Official Competition) and he probably had to bite his tongue when To the Wonder premiered in Venice. Look for a possible Main Comp berth.
