2019 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: #80. Carlo Mirabella-Davis – Swallow

After a false start of sorts, Carlo Mirabella-Davis will finally be premiering the France-US co-production and his directorial debut Swallow in 2019. His past history with Sundance, he wrote and directed the short film Knife Point (2009) and soon after he would go to the labs with The Storm King but that has yet to pan out. In September of 2016, it was announced would make this his next project, but production didn’t set sail until May of 2018 when Haley Bennett toplined the cast alongside Austin Stowell, Elizabeth Marvel, David Rasche and Denis O’Hare.

Gist: Haley Bennett Bennett plays a newly pregnant woman who develops the compulsion to consume dangerous objects. The story follows her as she tries to escape the controlling family of her husband (Stowell) to confront the dark secret behind her obsession.
