2024 MyFrenchFilmFestival: “The Beast in the Jungle”, “Junkyard Dog” & Zeno Graton’s “Le Paradis”

Unifrance’s Gilles Pélisson and Executive Director Daniela Elstner announced the selections for the 14th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival (the online film fest dedicated to promoting French language cinema and make it available across multiple channels, subtitled languages and just about every household) and among the highlights in the feature film competition we find the likes of Patric Chiha‘s The Beast in the Jungle and The Lost Boys (Le Paradis) by Zeno Graton (which premiered at the Berlinale), Jean-Baptiste Durand’s Junkyard Dog (which was showcased at Deauville Film Festival), and The Green Perfume by Nicolas Pariser which closed the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. A noteworthy pair of non competition films include a blast from the past in Jane B. for Agnes V. and Joëlle Desjardins Paquette‘s Rodéo. Access to the fest begins January 19th until February 19th. Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist, and critic at IONCINEMA.com, established in 2000. A regular at Sundance, Cannes, and Venice, Eric holds a BFA in film studies from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. In 2013, he served on the narrative competition jury at the SXSW Film Festival. He was an associate producer on Mark Jackson’s "This Teacher" (2018 LA Film Festival, 2018 BFI London). In 2022, he was a New Flesh Juror for Best First Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival. His top films for 2023 include The Zone of Interest (Glazer), Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell (Pham Thien An), Totem (Lila Avilés), La Chimera (Alice Rohrwacher), All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt (Raven Jackson). He is a Golden Globes Voter.
