Video: Matt Ruskin’s Crown Heights – 2017 Sundance Film Fest Post Screening Q&A

Date:

“I was lucky to put their own words into the film” – Matt Ruskin

It was an emotional world premiere screening at the Library especially when you have the film’s subjects there in the flesh. A humble Lakeith Stanfield and filmmaker Matt Ruskin were joined by the formerly wrongfully convicted Colin Warner and his selfless friend Carl King who arguably was robbed of his own life when doing what a limited few would do – give your life to more than just a cause. Crown Heights was adapted from an episode of This American Life and gets released via Amazon Studios this Friday, August 18th.
