Lyna Khoudri & Anders Danielsen Lie Are Courted for Victoria Musiedlak’s “La vie sauvage”

Date:

We’ve got some early casting news for a project that’ll begin filming only late in the year and one that combines the likes of Joachim Trier muse Anders Danielsen Lie and Lyna Khoudri who was recently seen in Cannes selected Nos frangins by Rachid Bouchareb and very likely to be seen in the fall with a fest premiere for Houria – a project that reteams her with Papicha helmer Mounia Meddour. Formerly titled “La Belle affaire,” Victoria Musiedlak‘s debut La vie sauvage will shoot in November until mid December in and around France. François Morel (Noémie Lvovsky’s upcoming La grande magie) will also star. We expect a late 2023 release.

Yesterday, we reported that Lie’s The Worst Person in the World co-star Renate Reinsve was moving into this English language project and so we are curious to see if Lie will indeed be cast in a full French-speaking role here. We’re not familiar with Musiedlak – but she saw her 2016 short Maman premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. We believe La vie sauvage might be a drama — but we’ll be looking for future news to confirm what logline is and who are the other players involved.
