With Gustave Kervern’s Voilà, c’est fini and Guillaume Nicloux’s Garde du corps set for the near future, Suzanne Lindon has been taking on some acting gigs, but we’re more excited about her return behind the camera. Cineuropa reports that Pierfrancesco Favino and Simon Boublil will star in L’Équipe – which is currently in production. Ad Vitam Films’ Alexandra Henochsberg is producing – with production taking place in Paris. Italy’s Indiana Production are also producing. Since her feature debut Spring Blossom (read ★★★ review) was part of the canceled pandemic Cannes edition — our guess is they’ll be chasing a second Croisette berth for her sophomore feature. Set in the summer of 2007, fifty-five-year-old former world-renowned footballer turned coach Diego Prince goes on holiday with his only daughter, Rosalie, who’s eight. He confesses the truth to her: he has a son a few years older than her, whom he doesn’t know and didn’t want to have. Diego finally manages to share his onerous secret, but he doesn’t expect Rosalie to ask to meet the child. As it turns out, the father and daughter end up inviting 12-year-old Billy to spend the rest of the summer with them…
