#4. The Road

Director:
John Hillcoat
Writers: Joe Penhall (Enduring Love)

Producers: Paula Mae Schwartz and Steve Schwartz, Nick Wechsler (Reservation Road)

The Gist: Based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel and adapted by Joe Penhall, this is set after a nuclear explosion, is the post-apocalyptic nightmarish road trip of a man who tries to transport his son to safety while fending off starving stragglers and marauding packs of cannibals.

Fact: Novel was recently picked as Orpah’s book of the month.

See It: The pics that have surfaced so far, give the kind of bleak, grim and decayed landscape that we are hoping for, and will remind viewers that The Proposition was no fluke.

Release Date/Status?: November 11th.
