Anonymous Content (Babel) and the still very young/newly formed prod co. The Film Department by Mark Gill (Law Abiding Citizen) are teaming up for a project that looks at the mob during World War II-era.

Anonymous Content (Babel) and the still very young/newly formed prod co. The Film Department by Mark Gill (Law Abiding Citizen) are teaming up for a project that looks at the mob during World War II-era. 

Scripted by rookie scribe Brian Kistler, The American Way is described as The Untouchables meets Once Upon a Time in America and features two brothers who are profoundly affected by their parents’ murder, leading one to the FBI and the other to a life of crime. Despite bad blood between them, the imprisoned sibling agrees to go undercover to help his brother take down an infamous gangster.

Steve Golin, Gill and Robert Katz are producing the project. Film Depoartment’s Neil Sacker is exec producing with Anonymous Content’s Matt DeRoss.
