Auburn to make full use of ‘The Archive’

I’m guessing the most valuable type of screenwriter are the ones who’ve actually spent some time behind the camera…they can better prep a given project for the director.

David Auburn who had recently completely his directorial debut (the Weaver/Bosworth drama, The Girl in the
Park
which the Weinstein Co. recently acquired) will be working on a time-travel piece (do these films ever work?) for Universal Pictures.

No word on what the plotline is about, but James Mangold would direct once again for producers Scott Stuber and Cathy Konrad. Konrad produced Mangold’s Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma. Via her Tree Line Film prod co.
