Brad Ingelsby and Todd Field get ‘Buried’ in Paramount Vantage project

Date:

Paramount Vantage’s Guy Stodel has finally broken the ice and made his first pick up as the key decision maker and according to The Hollywood Reporter, he has managed to attach helmer (why does he make us wait so long between his films?) Todd Field and one of the hottest rookie scribes in the business in Brad Ingelsby has signed on to pen Buried

Based on an article written by Hillel Levin and James Keene, this centers on a couple who, in a bid for cash, bury a wealthy man alive only to be caught and then forced to cope with the fallout on their relationship. My preliminary research into finding this article via the www. amounted to nothing, but one of these days I’ll try researching where it has been published via the University library system.

Alexandra Milchan who already has an affinity with Keene (having optioned his Keene’s true life account — a spec to be directed by William Monahan) will produce this picture.

Ingelsby has just been mentioned in the trades as of last week with him being hired for the comic book project Sleeper which Sam Raimi is producing and was the overnight sensation with the sale of The Low Dweller — a project that has Ridley Scott and Leo DiCapario attached.

Field has been attached to many projects in the past (American Gothic, Back Roads, Time Between Trains) and was working on an untitled project set up with producer Leon Vitali, but apparently his next move will be with Scott Rudin’s Blood Meridian.
