Brad Pitt confirms role in Malick’s Tree of Life

Date:

On Monday night's hour with Charlie Rose, guest Brad Pitt discussed private life, public life, his departure from State of Play, career path in terms of acting and producing and what popped into the conservation was news that Pitt will be going Terrence Malick's 5th film – the complex drama that sees Heath Ledger in the lead opposite an a female character with Sean Penn in a supporting role.

Here is the what (little) he had to say about Tree of Life: “I'm going to do a little thing in a Terry Malick film…it's a really profound film he's after…it's beyond me…it's time, and existence and our place in that timeline”. Sounds like a project he gave up on called The Fountain. In 2008, we'll see Brad in films by Coen Bros. (Burn After Reading), David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Darren Aronofsky (The Fighter).

Here's the Charlie Rose interview that aired yesterday night.
