Croc Croisette: Miracle at St.Anna

Date:

Within a 360 degrees radius stretching from the Palais and the red steps down to the first high-end hotel we find this banner for Spike Lee‘s (shot in Italy) Miracle at St. Anna. I’m guessing this gets an Italian film festival premiere before hitting theaters in the fall. Based on U.S. author James McBride‘s novel about black American soldiers fighting the German army in the mountains of Tuscany, Luke will play one of four members of the U.S. Army’s all-black 92nd Division who get separated from their squad behind enemy lines. The soldiers, bitter about racism and the feeling that their own government treats its enemy better than it does them, finds humanity in the small Tuscan village of St. Anna.
