Doing nonfiction right – Cinema Eye’s inaugural noms in docu-excellence

One of the better initiates to come out after the lousy Academy awards noms, AJ Schnack and TIFF’s docu programmer Thom Powers’ baby announced the inaugural noms for their 9 category end-of the year documentary film awards with Manda Bala grabbing 5 noms and Tony Kaye’s Lake of Fire following  with 4 noms. The ceremony will take place on March 18 at Gotham’s IFC cinema. Here is a quick look at the categories and noms below.
