Eating up Sundance Docs: Zeitgeist Lands ‘Stranded’

Date:

Less than a week after picking up the Grand Jury Prize winner (Trouble The Water) in the docu category, Zeitgeist Films have now picked up the harrowing true story that was that basis for that movie (Alive) that gave plenty of food for thought.

Having received plenty of kudos, Gonzalo Arijon’s Stranded: I Have Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains speaks with the survivors of the infamous plane crash in the South American Andes that took place 35 years ago. This profiles the survivors, who subsisted the ten weeks in the freezing weather by consuming the remains of those who died after the plane went down.

Zeitgeist will preem the doc at the Film Forum on October 22, 2008 and follows this with a larger expansion.
