IFC Films do very little ‘Waiting’ in Berlin

Luckily, the Berlin film festival has the double appeal of being one of the top film festivals in the world and  a film market – and in a year where the only film worth mentioning at the midway point of the fest is PTA’s There Will Be Blood, then we can look towards the market for exciting prospects. A flurry of distribution deals for world markets means that the other facet of the festival is high in priority for the buyers and sellers of the biz (read Variety article here).

A fish and chips Brit film repped by Maximum Films International found interest on both sides of the Atlantic with IFC Films grabbing hold of the title….in fact, Roger Goldby‘s drama will receive a release as soon as this spring.

The Waiting Room is an interwoven tale of the lives and loves of a group of young Londoners. Anne-Marie Duff and Ralf Little star.
