IFC ‘Heart’s Danish cinema

Date:

The folks at IFC Films are apparently looting Scandinavian cinema, I’m losing count here but, I could swear that since Telluride, the distributor has loaded up on tons of films (Worlds Apart, Flame & Citron, Everlasting Moments and Fear Me Not) from the picturesque country of Denmark.

Variety reports that the VOD specialist has picked up Danish helmer Simon Staho‘s marriage drama for an eventual release next year. Staho, who blew my mind away with his avant-garde, very difficult to digest 2007 title Daisy Diamond about a mom’s hatred for her newborn child/life, released Heaven’s Heart early this year, commencing with a premiere back in Berlin and more recently, San Sebastian.

The picture above looks like a group shot from Abba but tells the story of two married couples who start questioning themselves about the notion of infidelity.
