London Film Festival Lands Coveted ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’

Date:

It’s the London Film Festival and not Venice, who’ll be premiering Wes Anderson’s take on Roald Dahl’s classic Fantastic Mr. Fox. It kind of makes sense for Fox to showcase the film during the October set fest (now in its 53rd edition) a). since filming actually took place locally at London’s Three Mills Studios and employed some local talent. b). the festival coincides with the U.K release on October 23rd (stateside on November 13th) and c.) as I mentioned before, this is not the sort of film that needs a competitive slot or requires huge critical support beforehand, but perhaps just a good launch pad.
