Malick (wife) and Kanter house two projects with new prod company

The wife of the filmmaker Terrence Malick (Alexandra W.B. Malick – a.k.a Ecky) has teamed up with newbie producer Conroy Kanter to form a production company that will run out of L.A. and Terrence's backyard in Austin. Originally announced when Malick was in a special sidebar at RomaCinemaFest , I Am Third Prods.' first two medium-sized projects (10 to 20 mil) will be Morning Star and Moon a project to hopefully star Shirley MacLaine.

The othe rproject Father Elijah is based on Michael O'Brien's books, this tells the story of a Jewish Holocaust survivor turned Carmelite monk on a secret Vatican mission to confront the Antichrist, with the future of the church hanging in the balance. Terrence Malick will serve as a special adviser to the company, which will be based in Los Angeles.
