Neil Marshall Places ‘Underground’ on the Menu

Date:

Currently promoting Centurion, which receives it theatrical release in the U.S today, Neil Marshall isn’t wasting much time “cooking” up his next project. Titled Underground, no this is not a remake of Emir Kusturica’s 1995 film, this is based on a David Cohen script that would probably make chef Anthony Bourdain feel queasy.

To be produced by Ozla Pictures’ Taka Ichise and Erin Eggers (Shutter), along with Cohen and Jeremy Platt, set in the world of gourmet underground supper clubs, this sees an ambitious young chef who ventures into the terrifying underbelly of extreme cuisine. Don’t know about you guys, but I’m sensing a little of Géla Babluani’s 13 Tzameti mixed in with Jeunet’s Delicatessen.
