A dramedy that was reportedly set up at Fox Atomic last March, has actually become the latest pick up by Overture Films. Celeste and Jesse Forever which is currently in script phase was written by Will McCormack (Syriana) and Rashida Jones (I Love You, Man). I imagine that Overture will fast track the project for a 2009 start.
To be produced by Team Todd’s Suzanne and Jennifer Todd, Celeste and Jesse Forever revolves around a young divorcing couple who try to maintain their longstanding friendship while pursuing other relationships. Team Todd most recently produced Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
