Rampling, Janney and Hilton join Solondz’s urban dramedy

Date:

I got to admit I’m more surprised that Charlotte Rampling has been swooned into taking a role in Todd Solondz’s latest project, than I am with the announcement that non-actress Paris Hilton has also joined the project. The Hollywood Reporter reports that key players like Rampling, Hilton, Allison Janney with be joined by Paul Reubens, Ciaran Hinds, Shirley Henderson, Renee Taylor, Michael Lerner, Michael Kenneth Williams, Chane’t Johnson, Eric Wareheim, and Chris Marquette for the yet to be titled project.

The trade gave a little bit more details in what contemporary backdrop we find ourselves in – the dramedy features a family set against the backdrop of a war. Filming should be underway sometime soon with a 2009 release pending a distributor pickup.
