The Gist: Written by W. Merritt Johnson and based on Eric Danville’s bio “The Complete Linda Lovelace”, this film follows Linda Boreman’s rise to fame as iconic porn star Linda Lovelace of 1972’s Deep Throat, and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. List Worthy Reasons…: Howl saw Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman experimented with the biopic form and they came up with some surprising innovative results — we’re expecting some more of the same with the Linda Lovelace twin life stories. Massive casting round-up is impressive, and they got James Franco on board again, moving from his stint as Allen Ginsberg to the Playboy inventor. This is the first one out of the gate for the competing Lovelace biopics.

Release Date/Status?: Currently filming, we’ve got the feeling this will be picked up well before it is completed. 2012 festival release is sure thing.
