Trailer: Susan Montford’s While She Was Out

Date:

With While She Was Out, up-and-coming producer Susan Montford dabbles in her first project as a director and scribe. With a trailer that dons a vigilante-like feel, we are reminded that a once A-star actress finds herself at the “middle point” of her career. I believe that Kim Basinger took some sort of sabbatical, but in 2009 we’ll see the rollout of a couple of other pictures she completed last year. The long-awaited debut of The Informers will preem at Sundance next month and her role in the vividly told The Burning Plain (which I caught at TIFF) should be a career boost of srots. Anchor Bay Entertainment gives the film a small theatrical release next Friday.
