Tribeca Photo Diary #1

Take 3 Steps Back: Pierre-Alexandre have you seen Goodfellas? Your getting a little to close to Bobby.

DeNiro for Mayor!: Tribeca has become a major source of revenue for the big apple and this year’s fest hasn’t even started yet! (The revenues for NYC are estimated at $100M this year). On the right, ESDC Chairman Charles Gargano is anxiously waiting his turn to speak to announce that for the first time, the Empire State building will be lit in pink to celebrate the festival. (No, it’s not gay pride yet!)

It’s not about the length of the film not the girth: Jury member Josh Lucas showing how many films he’ll be seeing during the fest.

Calm before the storm: What no popcorn?

The lady of the event.: Co-founder Jane Rosenthal made sure that this year the event would be spreaded out – thus adding a wealth of screenings in several other neighborhoods. This expansion is surely to become the new hip weigth watcher program … “how to go from lower manhattan to 68th street in 10 minutes or less between two consecutive films”.
