Vulnerable Warrior: Katie Jarvis Featured Prominently in U.S. Fish Tank Poster

Date:

With Andrea Arnold’s brilliant sophomore feature coming out next week, IFC Films finally decided it was time to release the poster one sheet for Fish Tank. The image is taken from one the small batch of stills that were first introduced at Cannes, and after having seen the film, I would see the image in the context of a boxer training for the big fight. The coming-of-age kitchen sink portrait is at the summit of my top picks for 2009, and I’m hoping that IFC Films can generate the same numbers they pulled in the same month two years back with 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days. The pic opens in NYC and L.A. on the 15th.
