TIFF Picks 09: Danis Tanovic’s Triage

Date:

#25. TRIAGE

Director: Danis Tanovic
Cast: Colin Farrell, Paz Vega, Christopher Lee, Kelly Reilly, Jamie Sives, Juliet Stevenson
Distributor: Rights Available.

Buzz: Receiving it’s world preem at TIFF, Tanovic’s third film should find plenty of buyer interest if Farrell is at the top of his game – and from what I read, he may have delivered a strong dramatic performance.

The Gist: Based on Scott Anderson’s novel of the same name, Farrell plays Mark, a photo-journalist returning home from a dangerous assignment. When his colleague and best friend fails to return home, Mark’s girlfriend, Elena (Vega), must find the clues to the mystery that’s slowly killing her boyfriend.
