Kristen Stewart, Vicky Krieps, Niels Schneider, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura and German cinema legend Barbara Sukowa, best known for her landmark collaborations with Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Margarethe von Trotta are among the alluring players that will step into the supernatural and fantastic worlds that Olivier Assayas built in Irma Vep and Personal Shopper. Titled Spiritual World, Stewart plays Ada, a haunted young woman with clairvoyant powers who is visited by mysterious premonitions.
Curiosa Films’ Olivier Delbosc and ARTE France are producing. Production is set for a February start date moving into Avril in parts of France and Germany. This is Stewart’s third pairing with Assayas – they collabed on 2014’s Clouds of Sils Maria and 2016’s Personal Shopper.
