Winner of the Special Jury Prize in the Cannes' Un Certain Regard section, actress turned part time director Valeria Bruni Tedeschi's sophomore feature Actresses has been picked up by the folks at IFC for a 2008 release. The film was showcased during the current 45th New York Film Festival.
Starring the solid cast of Louis Garrel, Noémie Lvovsky, Valeria Golino, Mathieu Amalric, Laetitia Spigarelli and Tedeschi herself – this tells the story of Marceline, a theatre actress, is forty and still single and childless. She begins rehearsals for Turgenev’s play “A month in the country” where Marceline is about to become Natalia Petrovna.
