I somehow missed the first mention of helmer Martin Provost and award-winning actress Yolande Moreau looking to quickly reunite after the triumphant turn in the Cesar-winning 2008 film, Séraphine. The twosome will now re-team on Où Va la Nuit (Where the Night Goes) with production set to take place after Easter in various locations, including Brussels.
In anticipation of the film's release in theaters this coming Friday (June 5th), we've received an exclusive clip featuring the unique pairing between German actor Ulrich Tukur and of course, Moreau in the role of timid and genius Séraphine.
A biopic about an unknown painter cleaned up the 34th edition of the Cesar awards (France's equivalent to the Oscars). You would have thought that it was an homage to Sean Penn (the actor was in attendance, first row ticket) and the dearly departed Claude Berri, but this was Martin Provost's night upsetting favorites Jean-François Richet and Mesrine (who won for Best Director and Best Actor) and the Palme d'Or winner The Class from Laurent Cantet winner went home with only the Best Adapted Film. Séraphine won a total of seven awards.
