Our Beloved Miguel Gomes Preps Something a Bit ‘Tabu’
If you took the time to blink at all in the last couple of months, you likely missed some pretty awesome production news: Miguel Gomes is making a film called Tabu. Gomes' sophomore film Our Beloved Month of August tore up the high-arthouse circuits beginning with its 2008 Directors' Fortnight premiere, finally hitting limited North American screens in 2010 via FiGa Films before succumbing to what will surely be a protracted life of being worshipped by a small, vocal following.
Fassbender getting ‘Good Vibrations’ from Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa
Michael Fassbender and Liam Cunningham have joined together again as two of the leads in the upcoming Good Vibrations. The two actors notably faced off for twenty enthralling minutes in Steven McQueen's Hunger, about the Irish hunger strikes of Bobby Sands. Also set to be filmed in Ireland, Good Vibrations will see husband and wife duo Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa test their relationship a second time.

Before making his Palme d'Or winner Scarecrow, Jerry Schatzberg made his debut Puzzle of a Downfall Child with 'it' girl Faye Dunaway. The film has somewhat disappeared for all but Dunaway completists, but that will change this year, beginning with the release of the poster for the 64th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.
