Iron Man 2 Pair of Johansson and Rockwell Might Travel Towards ‘Lunatic At Large’

Sam Rockwell might take on a perfectly suited role of ex-carnival worker with serious anger-management issues and Scarlett Johansson will play a specialist in suds and the nightlife in a project that is based on an original story by novelist Jim Thompson and the great Stanley Kubrick. The Iron Man 2 mentioned duo are the first signs of life in a while for this project, we can now suppose that commercials director Chris Palmer is edging closer to an eventual start date on Lunatic At Large.

Cocksucker Blues to Resurface in Cannes?

A docu film that shares the same underground prestige as Todd Haynes' Superstar and has been called one of the best documents on Rock & Roll by Jim Jarmusch may finally be making a premiere this year, almost 38 years or so after the fact. Hence, Gallo is looking to premiere his latest endeavor, Promises Written in Water in the sidebar section next month.

Wang Bing Might Make Cannes His New ‘Hometown’

The good news is that Cannes might be the lieu for Wang Bing's first foray into fiction film, the bad news is, at least temporarily, we know next to nothing on his next film project except that: it was first mentioned in 2007's Pusan Promotion Plan during the 2007 Pusan International Film Festival and will probably be produced by Lihong Kang. If Bing continues with the same themes of interest, Hometown should relate back to the subject matter the Chinese filmmaker explored in his previous documentary films such as China's own industrial revolution and new economy or the Cultural Revolution.
