Nature is Satan’s Church: Von Trier’s Antichrist Trailer
I couldn't help but think of Polanski and a little of Kubrick's The Shining with today's first glimpse into Antichrist. It comes across as distinctly "Von Trier", due to the technical style he employs with the use of handheld shots and natural lighting, but there are some complicated shots involved, and special effects work (no Donkeys were killed on set) that I suspect came from sources that go beyond literature and includes paintings, and perhaps ideas from the cited filmmakers above.

After making political films, existential mindf*cks and then getting “nailed” by production woes, I can understand why David O. Russell might want to hit the "off" switch and take on something less demanding after-all, the teenage rom com seems to be the more popular menu du jour item these days. Elephant Eye Goes Domestic with The Maid
They tried out the distribution side of the business with doc films Planet B-Boy and Billy the Kid, and now, Elephant Eye Films are set to theatrically rep their first feature film – which appears to be quite the find according to the slew of film festival awards it has picked up since its preeming at Sundance. Sebastian Silva's La Nana (The Maid) will be released in the fall.
