Franco Completes Highness Trio
Someone has infiltrated the Judd Apatow stable and is starting to pick off his actors. Though Danny McBride originally got his start along with David Gordon Green back in film school, the just signed James Franco was clearly not a one time loan. The Green-McBride-Franco trio will take part in the oversees production on the July 20 start date in Belfast.

The influences come from everywhere, but when you’re shooting New York you’re very aware of what has come before you. I’ve always loved Sydney Pollack’s film Three Days of the Condor and I thought about that film a lot.

The addition of Jeff Goldblum and Patrick Wilson along with the North American rights pick up from Miramax Films are part of a double announcement from the set of Will Speck and Josh Gordon's sophomore directing gig. The Baster, a Mandate Pictures' rom com just began filming this week.
Jamie Bell is a Slave to Channing Tatum in ‘Eagle of the Ninth’
Channing Tatum hasn't signed on the dotted line just yet, but if he does, he'll be the lead in Kevin Macdonald's second straight project for Universal. Falling under the Focus Features label, the director who signed up on the project a year ago, has already set the co-star lead in Jamie Bell in The Eagle of the Ninth.
Levine Sitting in on ‘Sitter’
The director behind the long delayed All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (will Senator ever release this film?) and Sundance semi-hit The Wackness has landed another possible directing gig for the big studio folks. THR reports that Jonathan Levine will lense The Sitter for Fox Atomic. The helmer is apparently joining a project that had many studios wondering what a current day Elisabeth Shue might look like. The spec began a bidding war that was settled back in January.
