Laurence Dunmore is going back in time, again. The director of The Libertine, has been tapped to helm a retelling of Sir Gallahad's quest for the Holy Grail titled Mortal Armor: The Legend of Galahad. The director's sophmore project is set to be a "coming of age" tale of the legendary knight and his journey to unlock the secrets of the the Christian lore. The project is penned by Joel Gross and overseen by producer Gale Ann Hurd. Production is set to begin next summer in the U.K.

OCD sufferers take heart.Samuel L. Jackson is coming to the rescue. The defeator of slinky serpents at 20,000 feet is set to clean up again in the upcoming flick for director Renny Harlin titled The Cleaner. Not to be confused with the Cedric the Entertainer comedy pic Codename: The Cleaner, Jackson's project is a thriller involving murder, corruption, and the anguish of obsessive compulsive disorder.

All it takes is one snapshot to ruin a plot line, unveil a secret, or in this case, make us (hardcore filmgoers) count the days until a film’s release. I could care less about paparazzi stuff, but this one has a particular story behind it. Imagine you’re traveling around the world, happen to (literally) turn a street corner in some far away land and come face to face upon a film production with not one, not two, not three, but four familiar faces. I couldn’t help but post this one - great picture of a film that we are all looking forward to see. The Darjeeling Limited is the story of three brothers who journey through India.

Promoting themselves as a barometer for Oscar predictions – this pretty much group all the favorites and safe picks. Leading the pack are “Babel," "The Departed," "Dreamgirls" and "Little Miss Sunshine" each with seven nominations each. Now its in 12th year, the Critics Choice Award is voted on by film critics from almost 200 television, radio and online critics. The 12th annual Critics’ Choice Awards ceremony will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

I was beginning to think that I’d be alone in championing Todd Field’s superb sophomore effort, but today the San Francisco Film Critics' Circle gave a trio of awards to his suburban drama. Little Children was selected for best picture, best adapted screenplay and Jackie Earle Haley picked up a second win for his best supporting actor. The biggest, most deserving surprise comes with the Best Supporting Actress that was given out to Adriana Barraza for Babel - she plays the Mexican-born nanny in deep dodo. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the winner for Best Original Screenplay – given to the modern day (high school) film noir Brick.
