I participated in a virtual roundtable for the film this past weekend just before yesterday’s Gothams nominations announcement where Bugonia (read our Venice review) was nominated for Best Feature category yet omitted Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons for Outstanding Lead Performance. I asked filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos how his approach with actors has evolved over the last two decades, and also asked about his experience working with Aidan Delbis, the non-professional actor is from the autism spectrum.
