Tulpan’s winning streak continues with Asia Pacific award

Date:

I wish the producers behind Tulpan thought about creating an official website for their film — it would answer my burning question of: how many film festival awards has Sergey Dvortsevoy‘s directorial debut has won since he picked up his first three at this year’s Cannes film festival (where the film competed in the Un Certain Regard section). Surprisingly, while as many as eight other films from the section have been picked up for domestic distribution, this fest favorite (which I predict will win the Best Foreign Oscar) has yet to find a buyer, or perhaps a qualified bid. Now comes the news that it has won the main feature prize at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. You can find out who were the other winners in Variety’s article (11/11).
