Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2013: #12. Claire Denis’ Les salauds (The Bastards)

Date:

Les salauds (The Bastards)

Director/Writer: Claire Denis
Producer(s): Wild Bunch and Alcatraz Films’ Laurence Clerc
U.S. Distributor: Rights Available
Cast: Vincent Lindon, Chiara Mastroianni

For her eleventh feature, Claire Denis has grabbed Vincent Lindon and Chiara Mastroianni. We’ve loved her work since 88’s Chocolate, and more recently in 35 Shots of Rum and White Material.

Gist: Nothing is known at the time being – and I doubt she’ll return to themes relating to her upbringing or colonialism.

Release Date: Shooting began in August of last year – is seven months of post enough time for Denis to be ready for Cannes?
