Just prior to heading over to NYFF and having just showed at the Venice Film Festival, via Andréa Picard’s shrewd programming, the Wavelengths programme featured this disturbing, at times repulsive, and surprisingly probing Dead Ringers-esque portrait from Leviathan pairing of Véréna Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor.
