London Calling: 1-2 Special Addicted to Harris Dickinson’s ‘Urchin’

Moments before it receives its North American premieres (Telluride, TIFF and NYFF are all in the cards), the Un Certain Regard winning title (Best Actor for Frank Dillane) Urchin has landed a North American release deal with the 1-2 Special folks. The new indie distributor is looking to release actor-turned-director Harris Dickinson‘s slice of kitchen-sink realism for the autumn. This is about Mike (Dillane), a homeless person in London is struggling to break free from a cycle of self-destruction while trying to turn his life around. This is the distributors second Un Certain Regard pick-up after Simón Mesa Soto’s Un Certain Regard Jury Prize winner A Poet.
