Scruff Stuff: Razor Sharp Ensemble for Di Giusto’s “La Rosalie”

Date:

We had learned over the summer that Nadia Tereszkiewicz and Benoît Magimel were set to topline Stéphanie Di Giusto‘s La Rosalie and over the weekend we learned that the project has a formidable supporting cast. Among the quartet of new names, we find Benjamin Biolay, singer Juliette Armanet, actors-filmmakers Gustave Kervern and Guillaume Gouix. Cineuropa reports that production began in early October for a full plus month of filming. Trésor Films’ Alain Attal produced.

Written by Stéphanie Di Giusto, Sandrine Le Coustumer and Alexandra Echkenazi, this is based on real events, is set at the end of the 19th century and recounts the destiny of the first bearded woman, at the heart of a love story.

Interview: Marjane Satrapi & Vincent Paronnaud – Persepolis

The distinctive mole on her nose and her dark sultry eyes rose off the page and appeared in front of me, smoking and speaking with a French accent.
