Garden of “Eden”; Mia Hansen-Love Caught in French House Explosion

Currently on the U.K press tour stint for Goodbye First Love (read our review), The Observer (via ThePlaylist) have got more details on the period that Mia  Hansen-Løve plans to visit with her next endeavor — which she describes as a “two-part movie” that will price the picture north of what it my have cost for any of her first trio of features (this includes 07’s Tout est pardonné and The Father of My Children). The filmmaker explains that the tentatively titled Eden is based on the French house movement — thus it’ll cost several Euros when it comes time to securing some of the musical rights and staging what will be festive crowd sequences.

Gist: Based in 90’s Paris, this is about the French house music movement.

Worth Noting: Hansen-Løve’s brother was a DJ during the musical movement which would produce such acts as Daft Punk (see below).

Do We Care?: You have to wonder how much of an influence Assayas and Hansen-Løve have on one another – Assayas’ next project Après mai returns to what we imagine was an important part of his youth — this 90’s storyline is distinctly part of her fabric and after Assayas gave us Carlos – we wonder if this could develop into a mini-series of sorts.
