Cannes 07: Ocean’s 13 in out of comp section

Proving that the out of competition category is Cannes’ way to include some Hollywood hype and glam, the fest has announced that Ocean’s Thirteen will continue the tradition of adding more spectacle to spectacle – much in the same manner that The Da Vinci Code had stacked its claim on the Croisette in the 06’ edition.

Though this film should get a lot of attention thanks to the Pitts, Clooneys and Pacinos, I’m most looking forward to Chacun son cinema – a who’s who of 35 auteur filmmakers who’ve befriended the festival who participated in a feature consisting of three-minute shorts by 35 world-ranking directors to mark the fest's 60th anniversary.

The fest runs between May 16th to the 27th.
