Daily Recommendation 10.08.08: French Cinema Now

For today’s IONCINEMA.com Daily Recommendation we suggest:

You know that it is a vintage year for French cinema when the Palme d’or winner is playing in just about every film festival this fall. The SAN FRANCISCO FILM SOCIETY can count on a fine crate of French imports this year, thus making it a whole lot easier to introduce French Cinema Now (October 8–12, Landmark’s Clay Theatre, 2261 Fillmore Street at Clay), an inaugural festival dedicated to celebrating the best in contemporary French cinema. The five day Annual Festival celebrates the best in contemporary French Cinema  with ten outstanding films including this year’s Cannes top winner THE CLASS, A CHRISTMAS TALE, ACTRESSES, WELCOME TO THE STICKS amongst others.

Please visit sffs.org for full list and schedules of the films.
