Leonardo DiCaprio may take some time off from saving the world to take you into another zone….The Twilight Zone. According to THR, Warner Bros. and DiCaprio’s company Appian Way are looking to take on a feature version of one or more episodes of the classic show. They’re currently in search of script ideas as pitches continue to development. The producers have decided not to remake the episodic movie, but rather build upon one continuing storyline.
The celeb/activist isn’t attached to the project by mere chance. DiCaprio is apparently a Twilight fan, stating in past interviews that it is his favorite show. Those who, like DiCaprio, enjoy the classic creepy tales can enjoy them as they continue to run on the Sci Fi Channel, keeping a cult fan base well and alive. Warner Bros. is negotiating rights for the episodes penned by Rod Serling, which comprise most of the show’s run from 1959 through 1964. Among the Serling pics include the infamous “To Serve Man” and “Eye of the Beholder.”
While many attempts to revisit The Twilight Zone have failed in the past, with Dicaprio on board, this ship probably won’t sink.
