IFC like their ballads like Honore’s ‘Love Songs’

All love songs tell the same story: 'Too many love you'…'I couldn’t live without you'…'Sorry Angel'. Love songs tell this too.

It was perhaps one of the least favorite in competition films among critics at the last Cannes, but was a big hit among French filmgoers this past summer. THR announces that DVD outfit Red Envelope and IFC First Take have picked up Love Songs. I personally haven’t seen Christophe Honore's French musical but it’s got a healthy, youthful trio of players in Louis Garrel (“The Dreamers”), Ludivine Sagnier (“Swimming Pool”) and Chiara Mastroianni (“Persepolis“).

Honoré the French writer and film director born in Bretagne, France has also release stateside Ma Mere in 04' and another IFC release earlier this month with In Paris (Dans Paris).
