Evan Greenberg has been given the go ahead in a deal that will see the unknown screenwriter direct his own project. Dance of the Mirlitons is a dark comedy is about an ambitious yet overweight ballerina with an overbearing mother who will stop at nothing to become a star. Title comes from “The Nutcracker Suite”. Original Films' Neal Moritz and Tania Landau are producing.

Greenberg is currently rewriting Dramarama for WBros.
